The Pennsylvania Great Outdoors Visitors Bureau will again partner with TomBob Outdoors Productions to create a series of thirteen 1-minute television segments called PA Great Outdoors Minute that will air on the Friends in Wild Places Adventure Series during the upcoming 2016-2017 television season.

There’s no shortage of great places and ways to experience adventure in the PA Great Outdoors region. During the 2015-2016 television season, the new PA Great Outdoors Minutes highlighted different locations, attractions, and outdoor activities to attract visitors. Through Friends in Wild Places, potential visitors from across the country were able to learn more about the PA Great Outdoors region via ROOT Sports and the Pursuit Channel, as well as locally on ABC 23 WATM in the Altoona-State College-Johnstown market. For the upcoming season the PA Great Outdoors Minute will focus on unique events and outdoor adventures in the region that are appealing to many travelers.

“I think our partnership with TomBob Outdoors and Friends in Wild Places was a great success in the first year and we look forward to the second year of working together. Our office received a lot of positive feedback from local officials, our members, and travelers. For the first time, we were able to reach a national audience and thousands of potential new visitors on a weekly basis. This enabled PA Great Outdoors to showcase the many unique things that there are to do and see in the region. Root Sports alone reaches 13-million homes and hundreds of thousands more homes across the U.S. are able to see Friends in Wild Places on Pursuit Channel via satellite TV. Each PA Great Outdoors Minute is also available on our YouTube Channel giving us worldwide exposure.” -John Straitiff, Executive Director PA Great Outdoors Visitors Bureau.
