The 2017 Pennsylvania Great Outdoors Elk Expo will be held August 19-20 on the beautiful grounds surrounding the Elk Country Visitor Center on Winslow Hill in Benezette.

The PA Great Outdoors Visitors Bureau proudly partners with the Keystone Elk Country Alliance and Pennsylvania Game Commission to host this annual celebration of everything elk.

The youth calling contests are always a crowd favorite, where youngsters can show off their talent for imitating elk and turkey calls.

Elk Expo features a variety of outdoor professionals giving presentations on nature and hunting topics during free educational seminars. Many local outdoors experts, including Pennsylvania Game Commission, sportsman’s clubs, and Pheasants Forever, will also be on hand providing information and updates about the region.

Stroll through vendors offering handmade products, everything from outdoor gear to wildlife photography and other local artisan goods. There will also be plenty of live music and festival food too.

For kids, there are lots of fun activities and educational opportunities, presented by the Elk Country Visitor Center, including horse-drawn wagon rides, archery shoot, many interactive exhibits, and a 4D sensory surround theater.

The annual Pennsylvania Game Commission elk hunting license drawing and the Keystone Elk Country Alliance bull of a lifetime tag always attract large crowds. Parking is available in Benezette with shuttle services to the ECVC grounds.
