Crackling fires, great friends and lots and lots of live music is what fall is made of and we have plenty in the Great Outdoors region. Here’s what’s rockin’ in September.

Samantha Sears will be playing her special blend of eclectic acoustic rock on September 2nd and 24th from 6-9 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery.

No matter what era you’re from, the rockin’ duo Wheels & Heels will probably know one of your favorite songs. They are at the Iron Mountain Grille on September 2nd.    

Rumble Seat Winos play electrifying rock with a unique show of great music and comedic interaction on September 2nd from 7-10 p.m. and September 17th from 2-5 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery.

Two For Flinching combines some of the most talented musicians in the area with an entertaining stage performance and a spectacular sound and lighting show. The quartet switches effortlessly between smooth funk, hard rock and groovin’ dance rhythms, while providing sweet vocal harmonies, dazzling technical musicianship and a dose of humor. You don’t want to miss them at Ray’s Hot Spot on September 2nd starting at 9:45 p.m.

Richard Eustice is ½ of the duo Acoustic Highway. He plays acoustic rock n roll favorites. He will be at  Foxburg Wine Cellars on September 3rd from 2-5 p.m.

On September 3rd and 17th from 2-5 p.m. Bryan Schwab & Jim Kelley play all your favorite acoustic blues, psychedelic and rock fusion tunes at Deer Creek Winery.

Rick & Jen dish up all of your top 40 favorites on September 3rd and September 24th from 2-5 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery.

Come out and listen to Nick Forsyth covering some Johnny Cash, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty and much, much more on September 3rd and 17th from 3-6 p.m. at Benezette Wines, on September 18th at Medix Hotel, and on September 10th from 9 p.m.- midnight at Driftwood Saloon & Grill.

Bryan Phillips will be playing all your favorite country hits at Deer Creek Winery on September 3rd and September 23rd 6-9 p.m. He will also be at Iron Mountain Grille on September 24th.

Enjoy Second Street in the picnic pavilion playing country and classic rock music live with wine, food and loads of fun at Laurel Mountain Vineyard on September 3rd at 7 p.m.

Pipe Dreams play all of your funky, psychedelic rock tunes at R** Bandana Winery on September 3rd from 7–10 p.m.

Route 8 will give you a new spin on some classic rock favorites at Ray’s Hot Spot on September 3rd starting at 9:45 p.m.

If you like folky rock you are going to like James Willaman. He’s playing at Foxburg Wine Cellars on September 4th from 2-5 p.m.

Rock Jazz Trio play old time jazz and gypsy jazz with a sprinkle of classic rock/folk covers featuring violin, guitar and bass. You don’t want to miss them on September 4th from 2-5 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery.

Gary Bickerstaff will be playing all your acoustic top favorite hits on September 4th at Trail’s End Restaurant from 3-6 p.m., September 10th from 2-5 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery, September 23rd at Iron Mountain Grille and on September 16th and 30th from 7-10 p.m. at Treasure Lake’s Lakeview Lodge.

High energy classic rock band the Rockaholics are a group of veteran musicians that can really deliver a great show and they are delivering it at R** Bandana Winery on September 4th from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

Kurt Thomas plays electric and acoustic guitar and sings, using a backing of tracks that he’s created to achieve a full band sound. Styles of music he plays are vast from the great pop songs of the 60’s and into the 80’s…songs that people love and bring back memories of their past, but that we aren’t used to hearing people play like Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind and Fire, Crosby Stills and Nash, The Beatles, Chicago, and hundreds more. Great guitar work, including the blues of Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King and other masters. He will be playing at the Medix Hotel on September 5th from 2-6 p.m., September 9th and 23rd from 7-10 p.m. at Treasure Lake’s Lakeview Lodge, and September 17th from 2-5 p.m. at the Foxburg Wine Cellars.

Is blues, jazz, country and Texas swing your thing? Then Ricci Hardt is a must see on September 6th at Allegheny Grille from 6-9 p.m.

Cory Monaco will be performing his unique selections from a wide range of music from AC/DC, Tom Petty, CCR, Guns N Roses, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Steppenwolf, Allman Brothers Band, David Allen Coe, The Who, Foster the People, Snoop Dogg, Adam Sandler, and Jimi Hendrix on September 9th from 6-9 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery.

The Necessary Experience is a fun, funky rock and roll band playing top hits from The Beatles, Steve Miller, Marvin Gaye, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Motown. In essence they’re Funky People Playin’ Funky Tunes!!! They will play at Ray’s Hot Spot on September 9th starting at 9:45 p.m.

The Windy River Band plays all types of music from country, to oldies to classic rock that you can dance to and have a blast! If you like to dance —- you’ll love this band. For over a decade they have played all over Western PA and want to play for you so don’t miss them at  R** Bandana Winery on September 10th from 2-5 p.m.

Don Schiebel does some fantastic work on his beautiful 12-string Guild with a voice and a selection of music that will stir so many old memories. Catch his show at Foxburg Wine Cellars on September 10th from 2-5 p.m.

Do you love indie and folk rock? Well that’s just what you’ll hear when you come to Deer Creek Winery to hear Sean Carey on September 10th from 6-9 p.m.

The Cubs are a 3 piece band (Richard Pierce, Jeff Corbett and Frank Agnello) playing  classic rock from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s at R** Bandana Winery on September 10th from 7-10 p.m.

JB Unplugged is a singer/songwriter performing for over 25 years, playing the music you love from today’s new pop and country, to old classics with a catalog of over 500 songs and all genres of music. He’s playing at Iron Mountain Grille on September 10th.   

Trixx band plays all of your favorite classic rock hits from the 70’s and 80’s including Journey, Styx, Bryan Adams and so much more. These guys have been together for a long time and it shows. They are playing at Ray’s Hot Spot on September 10th starting at 9:45 p.m.

Truth Seekers are an acoustic duo playing classic acoustic/folk rock, unique cover songs and originals at  Deer Creek Winery  on September 11th 2-5 p.m.

J. D. Eicher is a singer songwriter whose new album (The Middle Distance) debuted on May 6th.  Infused with rock, pop and indie influences you don’t want to miss his performance at Foxburg Wine Cellars on September 11th from 2-5 p.m.

Robyn Young performs acoustic country, pop, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock and country. She is also a songwriter so you will hear some of her original work as well. She’s playing on September 10th and 24th from 4-8 p.m. at Benezette Wines, on September 11th from 2-5 p.m. and September 23rd from 7-10 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery and on September 30th from 6-9 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery.

Daniel Stockwell has a unique mix of folk, rock and indie music. He plays cover songs and has some really good original tunes as well. He’ll be at Allegheny Grille on September 13th from 6-9 p.m. and at Deer Creek Winery on September 18th from 2-5 p.m.

The Sawyer Stepp Trio is a quality, easy listening, full sounding trio band that performs a nice variety of songs from the 70’s, 60’s, 50’s, 40’s, 30’s and even back to the roaring 20’s! They will play at  Deer Creek Winery on September 16th from 6-9 p.m.

Playing all of your country acoustic favorites Til’ Morning will be at R** Bandana Winery on September 16th from 7-10 p.m.

Root 2 Fifth is an acoustic music duo that plays classic, timeless country and rock tunes. They will be at the Iron Mountain Grille on September 16th.    

If you like a spontaneous mixture of rock, blues, and R&B that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats and all over the dance floor then Hot Foot Harry is the band you need to go see at Ray’s Hot Spot on September 16th starting at 9:45 p.m.

Uncharted Course will play some sweet, slow old time classic rock favorites for you at Deer Creek Winery on September 17th from 6-9 p.m.

If you’re looking for some hard, funked up rock you have to see Nick Sea at R** Bandana Winery on September 17th from 7-10 p.m.

Get out your dancing shoes, because John Burgh and Friends are coming to Lincoln Hall on September 17th at 7:30 p.m., outfitted with a dance floor, so you can have an evening out with your sweetheart enjoying the grooving, rocking sounds of John with amazing jazz and cross-over artists, Benny Benack on clarinet and sax and Betsy Lawrence on guitar and vocals.

Down to the Wire has been playing classic rock since 1976! See them at the Dance Your Way Into Fall at Gobbler’s Knob on September 17th starting at 8 p.m.

Soundbite covers material that doesn’t always necessarily get played by the majority of bands out there. Check them out at Ray’s Hot Spot on September 17th starting at 9:30 p.m. and hear some of the classic rock tunes that you haven’t heard in a long time.

Dan Hulse and Friends will be pickin’ and a grinnin’ at this free to attend Banjos, Banjos, Banjos concert at DeBence Antique Music World on September 18th at 1:30 p.m.

Max Schang Trio of Blues Band does a collection of well-known blues tunes performed with a sense of fun and an original approach…and as always a crowd-stompin’ good time so get your stomp on at Foxburg Wine Cellars on September 18th from 2-5 p.m.

Do you like rock and dance hits of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today? Then The Intent Band is just who you want to come out and see at Ray’s Hot Spot on September 23rd starting at 9:45 p.m.

If you like classic rock, blues, country, and yes even island music then you won’t want to miss Tyler Jenkins at Foxburg Wine Cellars on September 24th from 2-5 p.m

Come out to Deer Creek Winery on September 24th and you will hear new country music with a smooth voice and wonderful acoustic guitar playing by Mike Ames from 2-5 p.m.

Burning Daylight, an acoustic duo, will play your 90’s and present day country music favorites from 7-10 p.m. on September 24th at R** Bandana Winery.

For a jammin’, bluesy, funky funkin’ good time with some rock and R&B dance tunes too, you gotta catch Angel Blue and the Prophets on September 25th at Foxburg Wine Cellars from 2-5 p.m.

If you like traditional Celtic music you’re in for a treat with the band Cluricaun at Deer Creek Winery on September 25th from 2-5 p.m.

Bob Shawgo plays classic to today’s acoustic rock n roll favorites entwined with comedic interaction at R** Bandana Winery on September 25th from 2-5 p.m.

To hear some classic rock, top 40 covers, a little bit of boogie woogie and some originals too head to R** Bandana Winery on September 30th from 7-10 p.m. to hear the Mike Peterson Band.

McShimmel (Paul Shimmel and Michelle McLintock) play everything from Johnny Cash to Sublime, from new country to Prince, plus lots of original music and they’ll be playing it on September 30th at Iron Mountain Grille.

Chaz plays all of your classic and dance rock favorites. They have been playing together for a long time and have always been very good. They are at Ray’s Hot Spot on September 30th beginning at 9:45 p.m.

The region also has some terrific monthly meet ups to showcase your talent as well.

The Forest County Country Music Association has a bluegrass and country music jam session to set your toes a tappin’ and your fingers snappin’. You are even welcome to join in if you like. It happens the 2nd Friday each month at the MACA building on Pine Street in Marienville and the 3rd Friday each month at the Forest Folk School in Tionesta.

If you love American Folk Music; singing, playing guitar, banjo, ukulele, dulcimer or mandolin meet at CREATE Café on the first Thursday of each month where you’ll play the music of Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Peter Paul & Mary, The Kingston Trio and many, many more of your favorite classic folk tunes from the 1930’s through the 1970’s. On the third Thursday of each month bring a stringed instrument and join in the Fiddler’s Jam at CREATE Café or just sit a spell and watch. Call (814) 271-7726 for more information.

Blackbird Distillery has a different artist every Saturday at Shine On Saturdays.

Pack up your pipes and get your karaoke on every Wednesday from 8-11 p.m. at Ray’s Hot Spot.

On the 3rd Thursday of every month Tom Frech of Dos Hombres will be hosting Medix Hotel’s Got Talent open mic night so get out there, enjoy yourself on the deck with a cold cocktail and let your “soul sing” on.

Be your own rock star or just have fun listening with Master Blaster DJ Karaoke on September 9th from 7-10 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery.

DigiTrax DJ Service will be playing all of your favorite oldies on Oldies Night September 17th at  Iron Mountain Grille.
