When May comes, along with the promise of summer in the Great Outdoors region we dish up even more hits for you all summer long. Here’s the lineup!

Lonesome Bob and Steve play electrifying rock with a unique show of great music and comedic interaction on May 6th from 7 -10 p.m., May 14th & 29th from 2-5 p.m. and Lonesome Bob goes solo on May 22nd from 1-4 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery.

Robyn Young performs acoustic country, pop, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock and country. She is also a songwriter so you will hear some of her original work as well. She’s playing on May 6th from 6-8 p.m. and May 14th 1-4 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery, on May 14th from 7-10 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery and on May 27th at Iron Mountain Grille.

If you want to hear some great country and rock covers come out to the Foundry and give Country Rock Band a  listen. You can even get some scrumptious home cooked food and dance your night away. 6-10 p.m. May 6th.

Denver & the Mile High Orchestra blends a red hot horn section, along with jazz and big band roots, playing songs of legends such as Stevie Wonder, Chicago, and Earth Wind and Fire combine for a fresh look at contemporary pop. They play at the Brookville High School Auditorium on May 6th at 7:30 p.m.

Spencer Allen Patrick is an indie style guitar player and vocalist with original songs and also plays 60’s and 70’s style music.  Come out to Clarion River Brewing Company and see him live on May 6th from 8-11 p.m.

Gary Bickerstaff will be playing all your acoustic top favorite hits at Deer Creek Winery on May 7th from 1-4 p.m.

Samantha Sears plays a special blend of eclectic acoustic rock at Foxburg Wine Cellars on May 7th from 2-5 p.m. and Allegheny Grille on May 10th from 6-9 p.m.

Bryan Phillips will be playing all your favorite & country hits at Deer Creek Winery on May 7th from 5-8 p.m., May 13th & May 27th from 6-8 p.m., May 14th at  Iron Mountain Grille and at Allegheny Grille on May 31st from 6-9 p.m.

Rick & Jen dish up all of your top 40 favorites on May 7th from 2-5 p.m., May 13th from 7-10 p.m. and May 28th from 2-5 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery.

Burning Daylight, an acoustic duo, will play your 90’s and present day country music favorites from 7-10 p.m. on May 7th and 21st at R** Bandana Winery.

Singer-songwriter Coston Cross continuously uses all his life experiences and the influences of Garth Brooks, George Strait, George Jones and believe it or not Guns ‘n Roses to shape his own style of new country music. He is a must see at Iron Mountain Grille on May 7th.

Carolyn Longo will be playing pop rock, blues, smooth jazz, standards and celtic folk tunes at Deer Creek Winery on May 8th from 2-5 p.m.

Don Schiebel does some fantastic work on his beautiful 12-string Guild with a voice and a selection of music that will stir so many old memories. Catch his show at Foxburg Wine Cellars on May 8th from 2-5 p.m.

“Emlenton’s American Idol” Isaac Cole made it to the 51st spot on American Idol.  He is an awesome country singer with original works as well as playing yesterday and today’s country music.  He has a record deal in the works and he’s ONLY 15 years old. Come out to Clarion River Brewing Company and see him live on May 13th from 6-11 p.m.

No matter what era you’re from, the rockin’ duo Wheels & Heels will probably know one of your favorite songs. They are at the Iron Mountain Grille on May 13th.

Showcase your talent on the fiddle, guitar, banjo, or mandolin at the Cook Forest Folk Music Contest at Cook Forest Sawmill Center for the Arts on May 14th or just come out to see and hear all the great talent we have in the area. Free admission.

Max Schang Blues Band does a collection of well-known blues tunes performed with a sense of fun and an original approach…and as always a crowd-stompin’ good time so get your stomp on at Foxburg Wine Cellars on May 14th from 2-5 p.m.

Is Blues, Jazz, Country and Texas Swing your thing? Then Ricci Hardt is a must see at Deer Creek Winery on May 14th from 5-8 p.m.

The Front Porch Folk play folk songs, American traditional music, spirituals and fun kids’ songs. They also bring a bag of fun instruments including washboards, tambourines, homemade clappers, shakers, and little drums so that everyone in the audience can join in the fun. They will be at DeBence Antique Music World on May 15th at 1:30 p.m. This is a free concert.

If you love a crossover between rockabilly, new grass, acoustic rock and roll, country and a little bluegrass thrown in for good measure then Mandolin Whiskey is who you wanna see and R** Bandana Winery is where you gotta be on May 15th from 2-5 p.m.

Gashouse Annie have opened for many national acts including Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Toby Keith and many more. With a mix of blues, country, bluegrass and even some gospel thrown in for good measure this is a show you have to see on May 15th from 2-5 p.m. at Foxburg Wine Cellars.

Daniel Stockwell has a unique mix of folk, rock and indie music. He plays cover songs and has some really good original tunes as well. He’ll be at Deer Creek Winery on May 15th & 29th from 2-5 p.m.

Long heralded as one of country music’s biggest stars, Clint Black has released his new album (On Purpose) and is coming to Punxsutawney Community Center on May 15th to play all his hits for you. With sales of more than 20 million albums worldwide he’s earned his place as one of the most successful artists in Country music.

The Ryver Nymphs are an acoustic duo that plays country and folk favorites. They will be dishing up your favorites at Allegheny Grille on May 17th from 6-9 p.m.

The Sawyer Stepp Trio is a quality, easy listening, full sounding trio band that performs a nice variety of songs from the 70’s, 60’s, 50’s, 40’s, 30’s and even back to the roaring 20’s! They will play at  Deer Creek Winery’s Friday Night Music Lounge on May 20th.

Route 8 will give you a new spin on some classic rock favorites on May 20th from 7-10 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery.

If you need Jazz, standards and swing tunes in your life then Jazz Lite is the band that you need to see on May 20th at the Iron Mountain Grille.

Come out to Deer Creek Winery’s Spring Fest on May 21st and you will hear new country music with a smooth voice and wonderful acoustic guitar playing by Mike Ames from 1-4 p.m. and then from 5-8 p.m. Morgan Pritchard & Chris Bloch will be throwin’ ya some Jazz.

Foxburg Wine Cellars will have Kurt Thomas playing some acoustic tunes on May 21st from 2-5 p.m.

Visit R** Bandana Winery and hear Basement Band on May 21st from 2-5 p.m.

Celebrated recording artist Dane Vannatter will rock your soul with smooth & grooving jazz in a candlelit, night club setting in Lincoln Hall on May 21st. His music is a swinging, soaring adventure. There will also be beer & wine by donation.

Solo acoustic artist Chris Lee will be playing favorites from Johnny Cash, George Jones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Poison, Rhianna, Eric Clapton and many, many more at the new Driftwood Saloon & Grill on May 21st from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Do you love a mix of rock, country, folk and Americana music? That’s just exactly the kind of music that Juvenile Characteristics plays! They’d love to see you in the crowd at Deer Creek Winery for Spring Fest on May 22 from 1-4 p.m.

J.D. Eicher is a singer songwriter who has a new album (The Middle Distance) coming out on May 6th.  Infused with rock, pop and indie influences you don’t want to miss his performance at Foxburg Wine Cellars on May 22nd from 2-5 p.m.

Dan Murphy plays timeless tunes from many genres. He is also a member of The Six, a local band with members from The Clarks and Rusted Root. You won’t want to miss his show at Allegheny Grille on May 24th from 6-9 p.m.

The Concert Choir of Elk County will be performing a concert of patriotic songs as you enjoy a great dinner at the Royal Inn for three nights on May 26-28th starting at 6 p.m.

If you’re looking for a band that plays all the classics that you haven’t heard in a while, then get out to Deer Creek Winery and give The Speakeasies a listen on May 28th from 1-4 p.m.

If traditional country music favorites in the style of George Jones, Porter Wagoner, Merle Haggard and many more is your thing then you’ll want to come out to see the acoustic country duo Grand Ole Radio on May 28th from 2-5 p.m. at Foxburg Wine Cellars.

High energy classic rock band the Rockaholics are a group of veteran musicians that can really deliver a great show and they are delivering it at R** Bandana Winery on May 28th from 7-10 p.m.

If you like today’s new country music, then you’ll love Andrew Mack and Friends when they play at the Iron Mountain Grille on May 28th.

For a jammin’, bluesy, funky funkin’ good time you gotta catch Angel Blue Band on May 29th from 2-5 p.m. at Foxburg Wine Cellars.

Pipe Dreams play all of your funky, psychedelic rock tunes at R** Bandana Winery on May 29th from 7-10 p.m.

There are live bands every Friday and Saturday night at Ray’s Hot Spot, Forest County’s home for classic rock and country.

The region also has some terrific monthly meet ups to show your talent as well.

The Forest County Country Music Association has a bluegrass and country music jam session to set your toes a tappin’ and your fingers snappin’. You are even welcome to join in if you like. It happens the 2nd Friday each month at the MACA building on Pine Street in Marienville and the 3rd Friday each month at the Forest Folk School in Tionesta.

If you love American Folk Music; singing, playing guitar, banjo, ukulele, dulcimer or mandolin meet at CREATE Café on the first Thursday of each month where you’ll play the music of Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Peter Paul & Mary, The Kingston Trio and many, many more of your favorite classic folk tunes from the 1930’s through the 1970’s.
