July is overflowing with live music in the Great Outdoors region to help you celebrate America’s birthday all month long. Here’s the lineup.
The Drunken Sailors (Jim and Beth) are an easy listening, summer classics and soft pop duo bringing your favorite summertime hits to life on July 1st and 8th from 2-4 p.m. at Tionesta Market Village Music at the Market.
Rae Hanna will be playing some acoustic numbers on July 1st from 2-5 p.m. at Foxburg Wine Cellars.
For a jammin’, bluesy, funky funkin’ good time with some rock and r&b dance tunes too, you gotta catch Angel Blue Band on July 2nd from 2-5 p.m. at Foxburg Wine Cellars.
732 Electric Duo featuring Mary Spayd and Glenn Armstrong perform cover and original rock & soul, adult contemporary, pop, alternative, and classic hits. See them at Deer Creek Winery on July 1st from 2-5 p.m. and July 29th from 7-10 p.m.
Bob Shawgo plays electrifying rock with a unique show of great music and comedic interaction on July 1st from 2-5 p.m., July 3rd from 7-10 p.m. and July 14th from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery. He will also be at Laurel Mountain Vineyard’s Sunset at the Winery on July 15th at 7 p.m.
Richie Rhinehart plays a variety of many musical genres at Benezette Wines on July 1st from 4-7 p.m.
The energy, heart and talent of 7 Mile Run Band captures audiences everywhere they perform their country music. They’re playing at the Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival on July 1st at 6 p.m.
Lounge Lizards play acoustic 60’s and 70’s classics. They’re playing at Laurel Mountain Vineyard’s Sunset at the Winery on July 1st at 7 p.m.
Comer Gardner Guitar Duo will be playing some country, classic rock and more on July 1st from 7-10 p.m. at the Iron Mountain Grille.
No matter what era you’re from, the classic rockin’ duo Wheels & Heels (Dick and Joanie from the band Trixx) will probably know one of your favorite songs. They are at Deer Creek Winery on July 1st from 7-10 p.m. and at Iron Mountain Grille on July 21st from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Pipe Dreams play all your funky, psychedelic rock tunes at R** Bandana Winery on July 1st from 7:30-10:30 p.m.
We Speak Canadian will be playing all your favorite dance hits from yesterday and today with a hard rock twist at Ray’s Hot Spot on July 1st starting at 9:45 p.m.
Steel City Quartet is a band committed to bringing the message of good news through their music ministry by sharing uplifting songs of faith. They will be playing at the Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival on July 2nd at 12:30 p.m. with a second show at 3:30 p.m.
Kurt Thomas is a fabulous one-man band who plays electric and acoustic guitar and sings, using a backing of tracks that he’s created to achieve a full band sound. Styles of music he plays are vast from the great pop songs of the 60’s and into the 80’s, songs that people love, that bring back memories of their past, but that we aren’t used to hearing people play like Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind & Fire, Crosby Stills & Nash, The Beatles, Chicago, and hundreds more. Great guitar work, including the blues of Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King and other masters. He’s playing at R** Bandana Winery on July 2nd from 2-5 p.m., at The Lakeview Lodge on July 7th and at Scottish Heights Golf Course on July 14th and 29th from 7-10 p.m.
New Journey Ministry is a gospel music group with a desire to be a vessel in which God can extend his love, healing, restoration, and salvation. They will be playing at the Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival on July 2nd at 2 p.m.
Samantha Sears will be playing her special blend of eclectic acoustic rock at Trail’s End Restaurant on July 2nd from 3-6 p.m., at Deer Creek Winery on July 16th from 2-5 p.m., and at Iron Mountain Grille July 22nd from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
The Vogues play a fresh, original blend of vocal harmony and 50’s & 60’s do wop that left an indelible mark in the world of popular music. They will be playing at the Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival on July 2nd at 6:30 p.m. and again at 8 p.m.
Root 2 Fifth is an acoustic music duo that plays classic, timeless country and rock tunes. They will be at the Medix Hotel on July 3rd and July 30th in the afternoon.
Singer-songwriter Coston Cross continuously uses all his life experiences and the influences of Garth Brooks, George Strait, George Jones and believe it or not Guns ‘n Roses to shape his own style of new country music. He is a must see on July 3rd from 5-7 p.m. at the I Love Clarion celebration, on July 4th from 5-8 p.m. and July 16th from 3-6 p.m. at Trails End Restaurant, on July 14th from 7-10 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery, and on July 29th at 7:30 p.m. at the Dave Martin Rodeo at the Clarion County Fair.
Wrangler Band will be performing some country with a kick … that is music ranging from today’s top of the charts modern country to yesterday’s classic 80’s rock at the I Love Clarion celebration on July 3rd at 7 p.m.
If you want to hear a powerful acoustic trio that makes a huge sound you should definitely get to the Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival on July 3rd at 7:30 or 9 p.m. to hear the Tres Lads acoustic rock pop trio.
If you like Bon Jovi and Journey you won’t want to miss Bon Journey playing on July 4th from 12-2:15 p.m. at the Brockway Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration.
Do you love Elvis and his songs? Well then you don’t want to miss this Elvis Impersonator on July 4th from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Brockway Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration.
The Belle Tones are a beautiful, classy, sexy, All-American female trio that sings, dances, tells jokes, and honors our Veterans. These versatile entertainers are a hit wherever the group performs. They are a must see for the celebration of our nation’s birth on July 4th at 2 or 3:30 p.m. at the Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival.
Broken Down Dog pays homage to the classic rock songs of past decades while also playing a mix of blues tunes from artists such as Freddie King, Gary Moore and Tommy Castro plus a few country tunes from artists like Dwight Yoakam. They’re live at Corsica’s 64th Independence Day Celebration on July 4th at 5 p.m. and at R** Bandana Winery on July 22nd from 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Max Schang Blues Band does a collection of well-known blues tunes performed with a sense of fun and an original approach…and, as always a crowd-stompin’ good time so get your stomp on at Allegheny Grille on July 4th from 6-9 p.m. and at Foxburg Wine Cellars on July 16th from 2-5 p.m.
With the ability to play music from The Doobie Brothers to Robin Thicke and Frankie Valli to Bruno Mars, the Josh Squared Band are quickly becoming widely known on the private party circuit for the ability to get the crowd on its feet. Come over to the Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival to hear them live on July 4th at 7 or 8:30 p.m.
The Brighton Boys sound covers a multitude of genres, including covers from the 50’s and upbeat, pop-driven originals. Their influences range from chart toppers like Bruno Mars and The 1975 to rock & roll sensations Green Day, and everything in between. You don’t want to miss them at the Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival on July 5th at 7:30 or 9 p.m.
Take a groovy trip back to the ‘60s with Large Flowerheads who bring to life the musical sights & sounds of the ‘60s. Their repertoire includes numbers from The Beatles, Neil Diamond, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Sonny & Cher, The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Tom Jones, Mama & the Papas, The 5th Dimension, The Monkees & many more. You won’t be disappointed when you see them at the Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival on July 6th at 7:30 or 9 p.m.
Gary Bickerstaff brings you all your classic rock acoustic top favorite hits on July 7th from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Iron Mountain Grille, on July 14th at the The Lakeview Lodge, July 18th from 5-8 p.m. and July 30th from 3-6 p.m. at Trails End Restaurant and at Deer Creek Winery on July 29th from 2-5 p.m.
Bryan Phillips will be playing all your favorite classic country hits at Deer Creek Winery on July 7th and July 21st from 7-10 p.m., at Iron Mountain Grille on July 23rd from 7-10 p.m., and at Allegheny Grille on July 25th from 6-9 p.m.
Seth Cook is the complete talent package. He’s a singer, a songwriter, a musician, but most importantly, he’s an entertainer. He plays his own blend of new country music and you can catch him at the Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival on July 7th at 7:30 or 9 p.m.
The KGB is an all-original rock band with 30+ originals in rotation, the songs range from hard rockers to melodic tunes with a healthy dose of classic two guitar rock and roll filling out the night. KGB will bang your head and shake your behind. See them live on July 7th & 8th at Ray’s Hot Spot starting at 9:45 p.m.
Gashouse Annie has opened for many national acts including Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Toby Keith and many more. With a mix of blues, country, bluegrass and even some gospel thrown in for good measure this is a show you have to see on July 8th from 2-5 p.m. at Foxburg Wine Cellars.
If you like classic rock and r&b head to Deer Creek Winery to hear The Night Owls on July 8th from 7-10 p.m.
The number one nationally touring Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) Tribute Band Green River will have you enjoying a full 1 hour show of their favorite CCR classics (Bad Moon Rising, Proud Mary, Up Around the Bend to name a few) and songs that Creedence would turn into live jams such as Born on the Bayou and Susie Q. You don’t want to miss them at the Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival on July 8th at 7:30 or 9 p.m.
Darla of the Route 8 Band is going solo with a new spin on some rock favorites on July 8th from 1-4 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery.
Megan McGarry plays the banjo, fiddle and sings country, bluegrass and folk favorites and her original songs as well. She will be at Benezette Wines on July 8th from 4-7 p.m.
If you love a heartland blend of country, folk and rock and roll you’ll want to get out to the Iron Mountain Grille on July 8th from 7-10 p.m. and give Joe Thompson a listen.
The Rock Aholics are a group of veteran musicians kicking out great classic and dance rock hits by artists like The Tubes, Def Leppard, Bruno Mars, Billy Joel, The Bee Gees, Loverboy, Styx, The Eagles and many, many more and they are delivering it at R** Bandana Winery on July 8th from 7:30-10:30 p.m. There will also be a fireworks show.
Morgan Pritchard sings soft classic rock from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s on July 9th from 2-5 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery.
Free spirited playing paired with a raw, soulful voice and elevated through the use of percussive and vocal looping, Scott & Rosanna have pure electric energy together. Robyn Young performs hits from Miranda, Patsy, and Cash to Skynyrd, Creed and Staind; Pop, blues, country and rock with a unique twist. She is also a songwriter, so you will hear some of her originals as well. Robyn pours her heart out in every song while playing guitar and harmonica. You will surely hear one of your favorite tunes. She’s playing on July 9th from 3-6 p.m. at Trails End Restaurant, at Benezette Wines on July 15th from 4-7 p.m., and on July 21st from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery.
Bring the entire family to the Taylor Memorial Park to hear Deacons of Dixieland, a 7 piece traditional jazz band playing all your favorite jazz tunes on July 9th from 6-7:30 p.m.
Dan Murphy plays timeless tunes from many genres. He is also a member of The Six, a local band with members from The Clarks and Rusted Root. You won’t want to miss his show at the Allegheny Grille on July 11th from 6-9 p.m.
Bad Hat Daddy O’s are a classic rock duo playing all of your favorites from the Eagles to Rod Stewart to Tom Petty and more. They’re playing on July 11th from 5-8 p.m. and July 23rd from 3-6 p.m. at Trails End Restaurant.
Dave (of Windy River Band) + 1 plays all types of music from country, to oldies to classic rock that you can dance to and have a blast! If you like to dance —- you’ll love them! They’re playing on July 15th from 2-5 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery.
Mancave Music will be playing some great acoustic tunes for you at Foxburg Wine Cellars on July 15th from 2-5 p.m.
If you’re into hard rockin’ original country music NoMaD has just what you’re looking for. Catch their high energy show on July 15th from 2-5 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery or at the East Brady Riverfest on July 22nd from 7-10 p.m.
Hog Hoffman will play a variety of country and classic rock acoustic songs on July 15th in the afternoon at Medix Hotel.
2B40 is a band of 40-somethings playing a combination of original songs and some of their favorite cover tunes. They’re playing at Deer Creek Winery on July 15th from 7-10 p.m.
White Cat Out is a premier classic rock and new rock cover band. Covering artists such as BTO, Huey, Ozzy, Counting Crows, The Clarks and tons more with plenty of cover material for all audiences plus added originals. They’re playing at R** Bandana Winery on July 15th from 7:30-10:30 p.m.

Dos Hombres will be playing all your favorite rock, southern rock and country acoustic tunes on July 16th in the afternoon at Medix Hotel.
Luxuriate in the timeless beauty of piano masterpieces in the hands of internationally acclaimed pianist, Sean Kennard. You will be moved and entranced both by his pianist sensitivity and virtuosic bravura at Lincoln Hall on July 16th at 2 p.m.
If you like sacred to secular music you’ve got to get to the Taylor Memorial Park on July 16th from 6-7:30 p.m. to hear The Village Voices.
The Ryver Nymphs are an acoustic duo that plays country and folk favorites. They will be dishing up your favorites at Allegheny Grille on July 18th from 6-9 p.m.
Mitch Littler is sure to impress with his unique blues and folk style. He’s playing his original blues tunes complete with harmonica and a soulful voice live on July 21st starting at 6 p.m. at Tionesta Market Village Music at the Market.
Great rock classics is what you’ll hear when you venture to the East Brady Riverfest to hear Present Tense on July 21st from 8:30-10:30 p.m.
East and West plays country, folk, acoustic rock, bluegrass…and yes, even opera! They will be playing at Foxburg Wine Cellars on July 22nd from 2-5 p.m.

Coyote Moon duo appeals to any audience with their varied song list and rich sound with sweet harmonies. Together they offer up a blend of folk, folk rock, classic rock, and some early country playing favorites from the Beatles, to Adele to Johnny Cash and a lot of Neil Young. They’re playing at the Louisiana Style Crab Boil at Winery at Wilcox on July 22nd at 4 p.m.

Riff Riders are playing a variety of classic rock on July 22nd starting at 9:45 p.m. at Ray’s Hot Spot.
Richard Eustice is ½ of the duo Acoustic Highway. He plays acoustic rock n roll favorites. He will be at Foxburg Wine Cellars on July 23rd from 2-5 p.m.

“Emlenton’s American Idol” Isaac Cole made it to the 51st spot on American Idol. He is an awesome country singer with original works as well as playing yesterday and today’s country music. He has a record deal in the works and he’s ONLY 16 years old. He will perform on July 24th at 7 p.m. at Clarion Fair’s Got Talent.
JB Unplugged is a singer/songwriter performing for over 25 years, playing the music you love from today’s new pop and country, to old classics with a catalog of over 500 songs and all genres of music. He’s playing on July 25th from 5-8 p.m. at Trails End Restaurant.
Hot Foot Harry is a spontaneous mixture of rock, blues, and R&B that will keep you on the edge of your seat and all over the dance floor. They’re playing on July 28th from 6-8 p.m. at DuBois Harley Davidson’s Bike Night & Car Cruise-In.
Come out and listen to Nick Forsyth covering some Johnny Cash, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty and much, much more at Deer Creek Winery on July 28th from 7-10 p.m., and at Benezette Wines on July 29th from 4-7 p.m.
New to R** Bandana Winery the band Stage Door will be playing on July 28th from 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Brandon Giuffre will be playing acoustic rock covers at The Lakeview Lodge on July 28th.
Chaz plays all your classic and dance rock favorites. They have been playing together for a long time and have always been very good. They are at Ray’s Hot Spot on July 28th starting at 9:45 p.m.
On July 29th from 2-5 p.m. Terry Dach will be playing original tunes, along with classic rock favorites at Foxburg Wine Cellars.
Allegheny Drifters have presented their exciting style of bluegrass to audiences across the country for over a decade. Their engaging, fast-paced show with bluegrass instrumental fireworks and heartfelt vocals appeals to all ages. They’re playing at Lincoln Hall on July 29th at 7:30 p.m.
The newly formed band ArCaDe will give it up at R** Bandana Winery on July 29th from 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Trixx band plays all your favorite classic rock hits from the 70’s and 80’s including Journey, Styx, Bryan Adams and so much more. These guys have been together for a long time and it shows. They are playing at Ray’s Hot Spot on July 29th starting at 9:45 p.m.
Jen Baker plays a mix of classic rock, blues, some country, and whatever else feels right at the time. She’s playing at Foxburg Wine Cellars on July 30th from 2-5 p.m.
Do you love indie and folk rock? Well that’s just what you’ll hear when you come to Deer Creek Winery to hear Sean Carey and the Transit Band on July 30th from 2-5 p.m.
The Heritage Brass Band are a symphonic brass ensemble playing all their (and your) favorites on July 30th from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Taylor Memorial Park.
The region also has some terrific monthly meet ups to showcase your talent as well.
The Forest County Country Music Association has a bluegrass and country music jam session to set your toes a tappin’ and your fingers snappin’. You are even welcome to join in if you like. It happens the 2nd Friday each month at the MACA building on Pine Street in Marienville and the 3rd Friday each month at the Forest Folk School in Tionesta.
If you love American folk music; singing, playing guitar, banjo, ukulele, dulcimer or mandolin meet at CREATE Café on the first Thursday of each month where you’ll play the music of Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Peter Paul & Mary, The Kingston Trio and many, many more of your favorite classic folk tunes from the 1930’s through the 1970’s.

On the 3rd Thursday of every month Tom Frech of Dos Hombres will be hosting Medix Hotel’s Got Talent open mic night so get out there, enjoy yourself on the deck with a cold cocktail and let your “soul sing” on.
All musicians, poets, comedians, storytellers, and listeners are invited to Open Mic Night at Create Café on the last Thursday of each month. July’s date is July 27th.
