This month show our local bands your love and go out to one of their shows. The PA Great Outdoors region has awesome local talent tuning up for you. Here’s what’s goin’ on in February!

Trainwreck is a group of seasoned musicians playing modern country and some classic rock at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 2nd.

Singer-songwriter Coston Cross continuously uses all his life experiences and the influences of Garth Brooks, George Strait, George Jones and believe it or not Guns ‘n Roses to shape his own style of new country music. He is a must see on February 3rd from 7-10 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery.

No matter what era you’re from, the rockin’ duo Wheels & Heels (Dick and Joanie from the band Trixx) will probably know one of your favorite songs. They are at Iron Mountain Grille on February 3rd and at Deer Creek Winery on February 25th from 7-10 p.m.

Do you love indie and folk rock? Well that’s just what you’ll hear when you come to Deer Creek Winery to hear Sean Carey and the Transit Band on February 4th from 2-5 p.m.

Come out and listen to Nick Forsyth covering some Johnny Cash, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty and much, much more on February 4th from 7-10 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery.

Burning Daylight is an acoustic duo playing your 90’s and present day country music favorites at R** Bandana Winery on February 4th from 7:30-10:30 p.m. and at Deer Creek Winery on February 17th from 7-10 p.m.

Samantha Sears will be playing her special blend of eclectic acoustic rock at Deer Creek Winery on February 5th from 2-5 p.m.

Playing all of your country acoustic favorites Til’ Morning will be at R** Bandana Winery on February

10th from 7:30-10:30 p.m.

Gary Bickerstaff will be playing all your acoustic top favorite hits at the Iron Mountain Grille on February 10th and at Deer Creek Winery on February 25th from 2-5 p.m.

Bryan Phillips will be playing all your favorite classic country and rock favorites on February 10th and 24th from 7-10 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery and on February 17th at Iron Mountain Grille.

Uncharted Course will play some sweet, slow old time classic rock favorites for you at Deer Creek Winery on February 11th from 2-5 p.m.

Coleville plays indie rock since 1995 including originals and songs about our area. They’re playing at Deer Creek Winery  on February 11th from 6-9 p.m.

An extraordinary display of virtuosity and artistry by Susanne Ortner, clarinetist and John Marcinizyn, guitarist. They will enchant you with melodies they love at the Love at First Song Valentine’s Cabaret in Lincoln Hall on February 11th at 7:30 p.m.

Pipe Dreams play all of your funky, psychedelic rock tunes at R** Bandana Winery on February 11th from 7:30-10:30 p.m. There will also be an all you can eat pasta bar.

If you love Elvis then you will love this tribute artist, Scott Allegretto. He will play all of your favorite Elvis tunes, and he dresses the part too. He’s at the Iron Mountain Grille on February 11th.

The Necessary Experience is a fun, funky rock and roll band playing top hits from The Beatles, Steve Miller, Marvin Gaye, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Motown. In essence they’re Funky People Playin’ Funky Tunes!!! They will play at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 11th.

Carolyn Longo will be playing pop rock, blues, smooth jazz, standards and celtic folk tunes on February 12th from 2-5 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery.

Bob Shawgo plays electrifying rock with a unique show of great music and comedic interaction on February 17th and 25th from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery.

Beat the winter blues and come out for an afternoon of celebrating local breweries and their newest samples while listening to live blues bands and roasting marshmallows over a warm fire at the Winter Blues and Brews Fest on February 18th from 4-9 p.m.. Mick Hayes will be the musical headliner. For tickets or more information call (814) 776-1424.

The newly formed band Arcade will give it up at R** Bandana Winery on February 18th from 7:30-10:30 p.m.

If you love a heartland blend of country, folk and rock and roll you’ll want to get out to the Iron Mountain Grille on February 18th and give Joe Thompson a listen.

Trixx band plays all of your favorite classic rock hits from the 70’s and 80’s including Journey, Styx, Bryan Adams and so much more. These guys have been together for a long time and it shows. They are playing at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 18th.

Robyn Young performs acoustic country, pop, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock and country. She is also a songwriter so you will hear some of her original work as well. She’s playing on February 18th from 2-5 p.m. at Deer Creek Winery, on February 24th from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery and on February 25th at the Iron Mountain Grille.

More than forty young steel drum musicians from Greenville, PA High School under the direction of conductor Christopher Williams will perform a free outdoor concert on February 19th at 1:30 p.m. at DeBence Antique Music World.

Daniel Stockwell has a unique mix of folk, rock and indie music. He plays cover songs and has some really good original tunes as well. He’ll be at Deer Creek Winery on February 19th from 2-5 p.m.

Andy Davis Band plays country favorites and original material. They’re playing at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 25th.

732 Electric Duo featuring Mary Spayd and Glenn Armstrong perform cover and original rock & soul, adult contemporary, and classic hits. See them at Deer Creek Winery on February 18th from 7-10 p.m.

If blues, jazz, country and Texas swing is your thing then Ricci Hardt is a must see at Deer Creek Winery on February 26th from 2-5 p.m.

The region also has some terrific monthly meet ups to showcase your talent as well.

The Forest County Country Music Association has a bluegrass and country music jam session to set your toes a tappin’ and your fingers snappin’. You are even welcome to join in if you like. It happens the 2nd Friday each month at the MACA building on Pine Street in Marienville and the 3rd Friday each month at the Forest Folk School in Tionesta.

If you love American Folk Music; singing, playing guitar, banjo, ukulele, dulcimer or mandolin meet at CREATE Café on the first Thursday of each month where you’ll play the music of Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Peter Paul & Mary, The Kingston Trio and many, many more of your favorite classic folk tunes from the 1930’s through the 1970’s. On the third Thursday of each month bring a stringed instrument and join in the Fiddler’s Jam at CREATE Café or just sit a spell and watch. Call (814) 271-7726 for more information.

Aroma Café in Emporium has an open mic night every Tuesday with live local talent. You never know who you’ll see. Call (814) 486-7662 to schedule your performance.

Blackbird Distillery has a different artist every Saturday at Shine On Saturdays.

Pack up your pipes and get your karaoke on every Wednesday from 8-11 p.m. at Ray’s Hot Spot.

On the 3rd Thursday of every month Tom Frech of Dos Hombres will be hosting Medix Hotel’s Got Talent open mic night so get out there, enjoy yourself on the deck with a cold cocktail and let your “soul sing” on.

DJ RPM will be spinning the discs complete with karaoke at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 3rd, 17th and 24th.  

Crazy Jim will be playing all your DJ favorites along with karaoke for the brave at heart at  Ray’s Hot Spot on February 10th.

Be your own rock star or just have fun listening with Master Blaster DJ Karaoke on February 3rd from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at R** Bandana Winery.

All musicians, poets, comedians, storytellers, and listeners are invited to Open Mic Night at Create Café on the last Thursday of each month. February’s date is the 23rd from 6-8 p.m.
