February is the month for love. If your idea of love is watching live local bands performing, we have tons of love for you this month in the PA Great Outdoors region. Here’s what we have tuning up for you.

No matter what era you’re from, the rockin’ duo Wheels & Heels will probably know one of your favorite songs. They are at the Iron Mountain Grille on February 5th.

If you like a spontaneous mixture of rock, blues, and R&B that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats and all over the dance floor then Hot Foot Harry is the band you need to go see at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 5th.

Samantha Sears will be playing eclectic acoustic rock at Deer Creek Winery on February 6th from 1-4 p.m.

The Ryver Nymphs are an acoustic duo that plays country and folk favorites. They’re playing at the Tastes from Foxburg Wine Cellars event at the Clarion River Brewing Company on February 5th.

We Speak Canadian will be playing all of your favorite dance hits from yesterday and today with a hard rock twist at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 6th.

The Intent plays 80’s hair band to today’s pop tunes. They’re dishing it up for you at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 12th.

If you love Elvis then you will love this tribute artist, Scott Allegretto. He will play all of your favorite Elvis tunes, and he dresses the part too. He’s at the Iron Mountain Grille on February 12th.

Bryan Phillips will be playing all your favorite & country hits at Deer Creek Winery’s Friday Night Music Lounge on February 12th from 6-8 p.m.

Extraordinary Cabaret singer Daphne Alderson and the St. Michel Chamber Band will warm your hearts in an evening of pop and standard love songs of Irving Berlin, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell, and Leonard Cohen plus some French ballads as well.  They’re at Lincoln Hall on February 13th.

Deer Creek Winery’s Be Mine with Dinner and Wine event on February 13th will have two musical guests.  Robyn Young performs acoustic country, pop, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock and country. She is also a songwriter so you will hear some of her original work as well. She’s playing from 1-3 p.m. and Carolyn Longo will be playing pop rock, blues, smooth jazz, standards and celtic folk tunes from 4-6 p.m. Reservations are required.

Gary Bickerstaff will be playing all your acoustic top favorite hits at the Iron Mountain Grille on February 13th.

Two For Flinching combines some of the most talented musicians in the area with an entertaining stage performance and a spectacular sound and lighting show. The quartet switches effortlessly between smooth funk, hard rock and groovin’ dance rhythms, while providing sweet vocal harmonies, dazzling technical musicianship and a dose of humor. You don’t want to miss them at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 13th.

The Recliners will be playing rock and blues at the Blues & Brews happening at CREATE Café on February 19th from 7-9 p.m. There will also be a home brew competition. Limited tickets available.

Dan Stockwell has a unique mix of folk, rock and indie music. He plays cover songs and has some really good original tunes as well. He’s mixing it up at Clarion River Brewing Company on February 19th.

The Sawyer Stepp Trio is a quality, easy listening, full sounding trio band that performs a nice variety of songs from the 70’s, 60’s, 50’s, 40’s, 30’s and even back to the roaring 20’s! They will play at  Deer Creek Winery’s Friday Night Music Lounge on February 19th from 6-8 p.m.

Chaz plays all of your classic and dance rock favorites. They have been playing together for a long time and have always been very good. They are at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 19th.

Condition Critical plays 80’s-90’s classic rock with some modern rock thrown in too. They will play at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 20th.

Root 2 Fifth is an acoustic music duo that plays classic, timeless country and rock tunes. They will be at the Iron Mountain Grille on February 20th.

The Necessary Experience is a fun, funky rock and roll band playing top hits from The Beatles, Steve Miller, Marvin Gaye, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Motown. In essence they’re Funky People Playin’ Funky Tunes!!! They will play at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 26th.

If you need Jazz, standards and swing tunes in your life then Jazz Lite is the band that you need to see on February 26th at the Iron Mountain Grille.

Mis B’ Havin is fast becoming Northwestern PA’s premier classic rock band playing a wide variety of hits from the last 40 years. They love it all from Deep Purple to Aretha Franklin, Hendrix to Motown, you name it. Their Led Zeppelin is over the top. If it dances, moves and has soul you are likely to hear it. They play at Ray’s Hot Spot on February 27th.

Celebrated for their performances of “uncompromising power, intensity and spiritual depth”, the internationally acclaimed Alexander String Quartet promise to lift late-winter spirits with their passionate and soulful performances of master chamber works.  Widely admired for interpretations of Beethoven, Mozart, and Shostakovich, their recordings have won international critical acclaim.  Be inspired by these consummate artists whom critics have said “seemed not so much to be playing the music as breathing it.” They are playing at Lincoln Hall on February 28th at 2 p.m.

There is also live music on Fridays and Saturdays at R** Bandana Winery. Give them a call to find out the awesome music that they have lined up this month.

The region also has some terrific monthly meet ups to show your talent as well.

The Forest County Country Music Association has a bluegrass and country music jam session to set your toes a tappin’ and your fingers snappin’. You are even welcome to join in if you like. It happens the 2nd Friday each month at the MACA building on Pine Street in Marienville and the 3rd Friday each month at the Forest Folk School in Tionesta.

If you love American Folk Music; singing, playing guitar, banjo, ukulele, dulcimer or mandolin meet at CREATE Café on the first Thursday of each month where you’ll play the music of Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Peter Paul & Mary, The Kingston Trio and many, many more of your favorite classic folk tunes from the 1930’s through the 1970’s. On the third Thursday of each month bring a stringed instrument and join in the Fiddler’s Jam at CREATE Café or just sit a spell and watch. Call (814) 271-7726 for more information.
