Benezette

At the heart of Pennsylvania Elk Country, the quiet village of Benezette is home to the largest herd of wild, free-roaming elk east of the Mississippi. From the Benezette store and Restaurant, travel north along Winslow Hill Road for 3.5 miles to the elk viewing area. In and near Benezette you will find a number of family lodging facilities tucked back in the woods ranging from rustic to fully equipped with hot tubs, central air and satellite TV. Bring your camera and wander or let an elk guide show you one of America’s most magnificent four-legged wild creatures.
