Museums are so much more than a columned building filled with paintings.  Museums and discovery centers are fun for kids ages 1 to 100!  With a "touch-everything" atmosphere, learning can be fun!  Storm in to the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center, test your bugling skills at the Elk Country Visitor Center and discover the outdoors at the new Wildlife Center at Sinnemahoning State Park.

Historical Societies and history centers offer a vast amount of information about the people that walked these lands before us.  See and feel clothing, tools, furniture, paintings, and much more while you journey through yesteryear.

  • Lewis Painter Memorial Trout Nursery

    Stop in and feed the fish! Each year since 1955, the Heath Township Sportsman's Club raises over 8,500 trout and stock five local streams for the fishing season. The club hosts a fishing derby each May at the Clear Creek State Park swimming hole for children 12 and under.
