Built on top of a 25-foot high landmass, named Lighthouse Island, the 75-foot tall creation gives a breathtaking scenic view of the Allegheny River, one of the two National Wild and Scenic Rivers of the PA Great Outdoors.  Climbing the spiral staircase, you will witness the heirlooms of the Sherman family along with lighthouse memorabilia.

There is a free video of the lighthouse construction shown continuously in an adjacent, handicap accessible building for anyone unwilling or unable to climb the 75 stairs.

Self-guided tours of the gorgeous six-story structure are held only three times a year for fundraising events benefiting the Tionesta Lions' Club community projects.
