Gobbler's Knob Trail

Gobbler’s Knob, the beautiful park where world-famous weather forecaster Punxsutawney Phil makes his annual prediction, will have an informative new trail to stroll along this summer.

The trail, almost half a mile long, has stops where you can learn about the history of Punxsutawney, Groundhog Day, and the legend of Punxsutawney Phil.

The trail features metal works of art by Jeff Tech, the area’s vocational/technical school, which creates and installs a new piece every Groundhog Day.

The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club and Punxsutawney Area High School students are identifying the plants and wildlife in the park. Markers are placed throughout the trail so visitors can learn about the flora and fauna as they walk along.

Visit Groundhog.org for all of the details and more information about Punxsutawney Phil and Groundhog Day.
