Ghost of Medix
You can’t have a good ghost story without an old building with lots of history. The Medix Hotel was built in 1896 and has many secrets, if you dare!
Legends of Lost Gold
This lost gold legend dates back to the Civil War. A 150+ year old secret, worth $20 million, is believed to lie somewhere in the Dents Run area of Elk County.

Come experience fall in the PA Great Outdoors! Crisp mountain air, scenic drives, mountain vistas, kaleidoscope of colors, and the wild elk herd!

October 25-26 Once Upon a Scare, Elk County Fairgrounds – Food, games, haunted house, face painting, not so spooky alley, and more!
October 25-26 Haunted Barn, Brookville – Creatures, ghouls, and goblins in every dark corner, walk through the Haunted Barn for some heart-stopping fun!
October 26 Pumpkin Chunkin’, New Bethlehem – 13th annual event will go on rain or shine! Karaoke with Randy-O to follow.
October 26 All Hallows Eve Celebration and Haunted Trail, Sinnemahoning State Park – A terrifyingly good time with kids crafts, games, hayrides, bonfire, haunted trail, and more.
October 26 Costume Party, Brick House B&B – Food, music, games, prizes, and spooky surprises await! You must be over 21 to attend, BYOB.
October 26 Halloween Party, Straub Tap Room – The new Visitor’s Center and Tap Room is hosting a Halloween Party all day long with special food and beer features, prizes for best costumes, and a DJ.
October 26 Halloween Party, Woodlands Tavern – Get your ghoul on at the Woodlands to celebrate Halloween.
October 26 Halloween Party, Driftwood Saloon – Prizes will be awarded for best costume. Enjoy an evening with friends and good music!
October 26 Phil’s Trick or Trot 5K, Gobbler’s Knob – The race and fun course will finish with running the “trek” to the Knob stage. Participants are encouraged to dress up in costumes.
October 26 Ghouls Day Out, Redbank Valley Community Center – Vendor sale to kick off the holiday season. Feel free to dress for the occasion and grab some treats!
October 26 Fall Harvest Celebration, Fairmount City – Trunk or treat, games, pie contests, and chili cook off.
October 27 Trick or Treat Trot, Knox – Chase our ghouls and meet your goals in the 4th annual Heavenly Gaits 5K. Bring your little monsters for a short candy walk after the race.
October 27 Halloween Elk-Stravaganza, Elk Country Visitor Center – Enjoy an afternoon of Halloween fun with games, crafts, and more.
October 27 Halloween Parade, St. Marys – Come in costume, treats for the kids.
October 29 Halloween Party, Allegheny Grille – Stop in for a night of live music, karaoke, costume contest and fun! Bring an instrument if you want to sit in with the musicians. Prizes for best costumes, giveaways, and drink specials from the witch’s cauldron.
October 30 Hallowine Festival, DuBois Harley Davidson – Terrorific hallowine event with vendors, wine, and prizes for best costume.
October 30-31 Halloween Laser Spooktacular, Clarion University Planetarium – Enjoy a laser show in the Planetarium. Fun for all ages.

November 2 Zombie Infested 5K, Redbank Valley Park – The 1st annual Zombie Infested 5K will have runners escaping the zombies that have infested Clarion County.
November 2 Murder Mystery Dinner, Brookville – Pittsburgh’s #1 interactive dinner theater company will take you on a hilarious trip back to Vinnie V’s joint, where the hooch is flowing, the flappers are friendly, and murder is always on the menu! Proceeds benefit Brookville Laurel Festival. Tickets required.
November 2 Halloween Party, Sinnemahoning Sportsman Club – Prizes for best costume, raffles, and music by Double Down DJ.
JCHC Escape Room
Fridays and Saturdays in October by appointment, your group of up to six can take the challenge to escape Razor’s Revenge before the clock runs out!
Virtual Reality Escape Room
Kalyumet Fore Fun’s “Escape in Cook Forest,” a virtual reality escape room experience that’s the first of its kind in Pennsylvania. A team of up to four work together to solve clues and free themselves from a mysterious mansion.
